By God, I swear, if I had tongues – the poet Al-Buhtari
By God, I swear, if I owned tongues
Send your thanks from my horn to my feet
when I fulfilled the good that I was given
And I did not get up with the blessings that you bore
Aba Ali, you have surrounded me from us.
The collar of the pigeon does not wear out on the feet
Oh, the adornment of religion and this world, and what they have combined
And the command and the prohibition, the stationery and the pen
If I forget God in my life, you will see
of my service to you is sufficient for the servants
