As for the one who gave you grace and simplicity – the poet Al-Buhtari
But he who has given you grace and abundance,
over every living, and put you on the cusp
You have slandered us with justice and giving favors,
You promised us patience and kindness
And we see the name of the Prophet Muhammad,
and you pronounce it on your laughing free face
And that turban knew that it
Three on that answering and emancipation
You treated Homs and its people with kindness,
And they did the wrong and the trespassing act
the time of sunrise has risen for them, so see
The sun is from one horizon and your face is from the horizon
And they had not seen two suns, before them, he met
their light accordingly, from west and east
Then you showed them the power of the Almighty,
and peace-loving pardon, prior
And if you were willing, they would overthrow with swords and trumpets,
and hydatids glaucoma
you bestowed upon them life, and they became
Your loyalists have won from you with manna and free liberation
And the loyalty of those freed from apostasy,
outweighs the loyalty of those freed from slavery
You remained the Commander of the Faithful for a nation,
You have taken the path to the truth
With your face you prepare for eternity, whenever
offended, as your grandfather used to water
